For Clare osteopathy and the treatment of her patients is a passion and a vocation - not just a job. She gained several years of
experience in a variety of clinics after qualifying from the BSO in 2004. Then in 2007 she decided to focus just on the Downham Market
Clinic and subsequently took over its management.
I love the process of figuring out the the
right approach for each individual
Clare is primarily a structural osteopath but also has qualifications and experience in craniosacral osteopathy and can draw on her experience with visceral
osteopathy functional techniques and harmonic techniques to suit individual patient needs. She routinely use therapeutic ultrasound and dry needling along with the
osteopathic techniques to promote rapid and comfortable recovery. She has also undertaken extensive research and development in various exercises for patients
and constantly strives to learn more from patients colleagues professional courses and outreach work.
Before training as an osteopath Clare had already learned the vital importance of preventative care. As a cellist she sustained a good few physical problems and
injuries!
Clare takes a collaborative multidisciplinary patient-centred approach to her work and has thereby become well-versed in the kind of combined-treatment
approaches that work most effectively and efficiently in treating a patient’s condition and concerns.
No single practitioner can expect to suit all patients or be able to deliver all the forms of treatment a patient may require. Clare therefore feels it is essential to work
with a broad team of osteopaths and healthcare therapists such as we have at Downham.
